Royal Challengers Bangalore made a winning start to their Indian Premeire League campaign as they defeated the newly included team Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 6 wickets at the Nehru Stadium here on Saturday night.
Chasing Kochis’s total of 161 runs for the loss of five wickets, Bangalore reached the winning target of 162 runs by losing only four wickets in just 18.4 overs.
AB de Villiers remained the pick of the Royal Challenger’s batsmen with his unbeaten 54 runs innings.
S Tiwary (26) and M Agarwal (33) contributed handsomely with their willow.
Earlier, batting first, Kochi scored 161 runs for the loss of five wickets in their quota of 20 overs.
Former Kolkata Knight Riders captain and wicket keeper B McCullum remained the top scorer of the innings with his well made 45 runs.
