Sachin Tendulkar turns 38, no celebrations
Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar turns 38 on Sunday even as he called off celebrations owing to the critical condition of guru Sathya Sai Baba.
It is said that a disheartened Sachin Tendulkar, who is also an ardent follower of Sathya Sai baba decided to not to celebrate his birthday in a flamboyant manner this year due to the godman’s deteriorating health.
Sai Baba, 85, died on Sunday morning from cardio-respiratory failure.
It was rumoured that Tendulkar will even skip the scheduled Indian Premiere League match against Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad on Sunday for his IPL franchisee Mumbai Indians.
“I m praying for Shri Sathya Sai Baba’s quick recovery. Hope everyone will join me in praying for his return to good health,” Sachin Tendulkar tweeted.
The ‘Master Blaster’ batsman who has nearly captured all the records in the cricketing field and has brought joy to his countrymen by winning crucial matched for his team over the years, added one more feather to his cap this year as ‘Men In Blue won the prestigious cricket World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka.
He is currently captaining his IPL franchisee Mumbai Indians and is scheduled to play against Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad on Sunday.
