Telangana region shut for second day
Hyderabad : Life remained shut for straight second day on Wednesday in Andhra Pradesh’s Telangana region in response to separate statehood demand.
Supporters of Telangana state called 48-hour strike demanding introduction of Bill to divide AP and creating a new state on Tuesday.
Educational institutions and business establishments remained closed and the government buses, autos and private cars were off the roads.
People, who have ventured into the streets for compulsion, were seen stranded at the Secunderabad railway station, and various bus terminus due to non plying of public transport.
The government workers have been observing non-cooperation agitation in support of the statehood demand.
