‘The King’s Speech’ got 12 Oscar Nominations
The King’s Speech, 2010 British historical drama film directed by Tom Hooper and written by David Seidler, got 12 nominations in 83 Academy Awards (Oscar) for various category. The film stars Colin Firth as King George VI and Geoffrey Rush as speech therapist Lionel Logue, who helped George VI overcome a stammer.
Colin Firth got nomination for Actor in a Leading Role, Geoffrey Rush as Actor in a Supporting Role and Helena Bonham Carter as Actress in a Supporting Role.
Also movie got nomination for Art Direction, Cinematography, Costume Design, Directing, Film Editing, Original Score, Best Picture, Sound Mixing and Original Screenplay.
