Delhi Daredevils need to get their act right when they face Pune Warriors at the D.Y.Patil Stadium here Sunday.
This time they have a totally new squad barring captain Virender sehwag and the new composition is struggling in the fourth edition.
Having parted with players like AB de Villiers, Gautam Gambhir, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Daniel Vettori and Dirk Nannes, they’ve settled this time for Aaron Finch, James Hopes, Colin Ingram, Morne Morkel and Irfan Pathan among others.
Daredevils coach Greg Shipperd feels there is no sinking feeling inside the Delhi camp.
The Daredevils will be hoping for a turnaround here Sunday evening.
Against debutant Pune Warriors, who haven’t lost a single match in the IPL, it will be tough for them. Yuvraj Singh & Co have looked good at their home ground.
Pune Warriors can’t afford to be complacent against this side.
Meanwhile in Kolkata, the resurgent Knight Riders will take on Rajasthan Royals.
Knight Riders are looking stronger and more purposeful unit than in the first three seasons. Batting is their strength, and with Jacques Kallis and Gautam Gambhir striking the ball the Knight Riders now have the much needed firepower. Manoj Tiwary, Yusuf Pathan and Eoin Morgan add to their batting depth.Brett Lee and Shakib Al Hasan have also added teeth to the bowling.
