Today’s Match : Delhi Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals
Delhi Daredevils will be up against inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium here Tuesday.
Daredevils have always been the pre-tournament favourites but this time they have a totally new squad in place.
They faced a humiliating defeat against Mumbai Indians. But the only positives from the loss were the batting of Venugopal Rao and Naman Ojha in the middle-order.
Against Rajasthan Royal, Daredevils appear to be runaway winners, but on paper.
Rajasthan Royals will surely miss their star all-rounder Shane Watson, who is away on national duty and hit broke the record for hitting the most sixes in a one-day innings against Bangladesh on Monday.
Till the arrival of Watson, Rajasthan will be banking on New Zelander Ross Taylor, who has shown how destructive he can be recently, during his demolition of Pakistan’s bowling in the World Cup.
Rajasthan have one injury worry ahead of the game in Jacob Oram picking up a groin injury.
