Determined to go ahead with its plan to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday said she would not return without completing her mission.
?Our mothers have not given birth to cowards. We will hoist national flag at Lal Chwok on Jan 26?no one can stop us,? Swaraj said while addressing over 50,000 BJP and Bharatiya Janata Yuba Morcha (BJYM) activists at Madhopur on Punjab border.
?Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Omar Adbullah had told us if you want to continue your yatra, come at own risk, I can?t give you security. I want to tell him, we don?t need security or any facilities from you. We have only one demand, don?t stop us,? said the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha.
She said: ?We all came at our own risk. If we turn victorious in our mission, we will go back to our homes alive; else, if we fail, our deadbodies will reach Delhi. And there also, our families will bid farewell to us shouting ?Vande Mataram?.
?Jammu & Kashmir is an inseparable part of India. We won?t return without hoisting flag…I take this vow in front of you all today.?
Swaraj said that she, Arun Jaitley and Ananth Kumar would move again to lead BJP workers to enter J&K on Tuesday.
?We will enter Jammu & Kashmir border and won?t stop till our mission is accomplished,? Swaraj said.
She said the she and other party top brass were treated ?inhumanely? on Monday night, where they were first confined in the airport and then taken into custody, only to be released on the Jammu and Kashmir-Punjab border.
?What happened yesterday is beyond our imagination. As soon as our plane landed, a police officer entered the aircraft and asked us to go back by the same flight. We declined and were made to wait for five hours at the airport.
?Then they pushed us in a car? I told them that if you are arresting us, take me to women?s jail, and Arun Jaitley and Ananth Kumar to men?s cell. We didn?t know where they were taking us?they left us at an unknown Madhopur border at midnight.
?It was because of our activists in Punjab that we were saved,? said Swaraj.
Earlier, Swaraj tweeted that he BJP rally at Madhopur will be webcast live.
?Live Webcast of rally at http://live.bjp.org 11 AM onwards. Dr S P Mukherjee was arrested on the bank of river Raavi here in 1953. Pl RT,? tweeted Swaraj on Tuesday.
