World Cup: Praveen kumar out, Sreesanth in ?

India’s medium pacer Praveen Kumar has been ruled out of the ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2011 due to an elbow injury, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Tuesday.

?The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked S. Sreesanth as Praveen Kumar?s replacement in the Indian team for the tournament. The ICC has confirmed that Praveen Kumar can be replaced in the squad by S. Sreesanth,? said BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan in a statement on Tuesday.

Since Monday, the news of Praveen Kumar likely to be ruled out with an elbow injury and be replaced by either Shantakumaran Sreesanth or R. Vinay Kumar in the 15-meber squad for the World Cup, was doing rounds.

Praveen suffered an elbow injury on his bowling arm during the South Africa tour.
