Money hungry Cricketers

?Club over country? controversy with Gautam Gambhir said to have given preference IPL matches rather than leading Indian cricket team at West Indies should make Union government take control of Board for control of cricket in India (BCCI). Money minted by BCCI or IPL is national money generated out of public-craze for cricket. BCCI and IPL should be made autonomous public-sector companies accountable to Comptroller & Auditor General of India, and answerable as public-authority under Right-To-Information Act. Also, Parliamentarians (and ministers) should be debarred to become office-bearer of any sports-body so that they may be able to concentrate on their duty as people?s representative rather than keeping themselves involved in affairs of sports-bodies like BCCI. Union Sports Ministry with a control on IPL and BCCI as autonomous public-sector companies, should deduct at least 60-percent of money from cricketers? accounts. Accumulation of wealth in selected hands (like cricketers) earned by a national public craze is not proper.
