Coal mine blast kills 26 miners in China

Beijing : At least 26 miners were killed after a gas explosion at a coal mine in central China, official sources said on Wednesday.

They said 33 miners had been underground when the explosion occurred in Mianchi County, Henan Province, about 300km from the provincial capital Zhengzhou on Tuesday.

No reason was given for the explosion.
