After Nissan it’s Toyota to Launch Small Car in India?

Nissan Datsun’s small car is started to do magic even before its launch, not even the buyers but also competitors are getting ready for this small car. Some of our trusted sources from Toyota have confirmed that the company is likely to introduce a low-cost brand to compete with Nissan’s Datsun set-of-models in the country.

The market of rumours suggests that Toyota might make an announcement on the same by the end of this month or earlier next month. However, when we approached the Toyota officials on the same they have denied such happening, but our sources seem to be confident on this. Our sources also mention that Toyota might showcase it in Thailand by the end of this year or the start of the next year to.

Commenting on this will be early as nothing has been cleared yet, but we will confirm once we get a final date on it. There are also rumours on Datsun sedan but they aren’t true for sure as they haven’t such plans at least for now. But yes, Datsun will introduce two hatchback cars in 2014, which will be competing with the Alto and the Wagon R. To increase its foothold in the developing markets, Toyota could follow a similar strategy like the Nissan.
