Mahindra Announces to Launch the Quanto on 20th September

Mahindra & Mahindra is already leading the SUV segment with their Scorpio, Bolero and XUV500 and today they have announced the launch date of their upcoming compact car Mahindra Quanto.

The eagerly awaited car is finally going to hit showrooms across India on 20thSeptember. The company has only announced the launch date and price and all other details will be disclosed on the launch. It’s difficult to say that in which segment the car will fall and it can be placed in both MPV and SUV segments.

The Quanto is a sub four-meter length car and thus Mahindra gets a special sop available only for small cars, and it will help the Indian auto giant to make the car affordable.  The car is one of the most awaited cars of 2012 and that’s why the excitement about the launch is so high.

Like above said, the Quanto will be a sub-4 metre compact car and will be powered by a 1.5-litre CRDi engine. The compact car will come with an added foldable third row seating, which will allow 7 passengers.

The approximate price range of Mahindra Quanto is Rs. 5-6 Lakh with top variant flaunting features like ABS, alloy wheels, reverse parking assist, adjustable lumbar support etc. With these features and price range the car, there will be only one car to compete with the Quanto i.e Premier Rio. However, the upcoming Ford EcoSport will also be a competitor to this compact vehicle.
