Market closed positive; Sensex above 16K

Nifty closed at 4,863 and Sensex trades 16,222 pts on session in Indian market today, 24 May, 2012.

ONGC (+6.08%) , Bharti Airtel (+5.32%), Bank of Baroda (5.21%), Ranbaxy (5.07%) are highest gainer while JP associates (-1.08%), Cairn (-0.95%), Maruti (-0.70%) are top losers in Nifty 50 Index.

Oil Companies indirectly shows signs of cut in petrol price in next month.
