Cylinder blast injures five in Delhi

At least five people, including a woman and a child, were injured after a cylinder blasted at residence in south Delhi early Sunday, said the police.

The incident took place at Rangpuri area in Mahipalpur. The house caught fire after the blast.

Fire officials rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

Prima facie reports suggest that the family forgot to switch off the knob of the cylinder, resulting in the accident.

The injured have been admitted to Trauma Centre at Safdarjung and LNJP Hospitals.
