Delhi house collapse: Builder nabbed
The absconding contractor of the building that collapsed at Lalita Park in east Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area on Monday, has finally been arrested, reports said on Tuesday evening.
He is likely to be charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder, NDTV reported.
At least 67 people have died and over 90 were injured in Monday night?s accident. However, the Delhi government officials said the toll is at 61.
Some 30-40 people are feared to be still trapped under the debris.
Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit had promised punitive action against those found guilty for the disaster.
