Priyanka Chopra clears air on IT raid, Sahid Kapur

Bollywood siren Priyaka Chopra said she had called co-actor Sahid Kapur to her home during the recent IT raids because he lives closest to her residence.

“My mother was out of town. Sahid lives closest to my house, only three minutes away. So I called him then,” she said on Monday, breaking her silence to clear the air on many news circulating about the raid and her love life.

The actor, who has been romantically linked to Sahid and whose news film Saath Khoon Maf is slated for a release soon, said there were unsubstantiated reports about the IT raids.

She trashed the report of Rs 6 crore recovered from her house.

“I have never seen so much money together,” she said of the report of the money recovered from beneath her mattress, adding that her official statement has already been issued on that.

?I was shocked to find unsubstantiated media reports. I experienced this for the first time in my career. It hurt me and affected me a lot,? she said, regretting media reports quoting unnamed sources.

On why she faced a raid despite being a good taxpayer, she said with a light banter: “As people say that it happens with big stars. I still feel proud that I am counted among the few highest tax paying bollywood stars and hope to be so as long God continues to give me the opportunity.”
