Anna Hazare to hold ‘jantantra’ rally in Patna

New Delhi  : After months of silence, social activist Anna Hazare is all set to launch a nation-wide ‘Vyawastha Parivartan’ (change in system) programme and address a “Jantranta rally in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan’today.

Earlier, the Lokpal Bill had become a rallying cry for Hazare and his aides, and they had called for the setting up of an institution to probe corruption.

It is because of those rallies and protest that the government stepped up the select committee on the Lokpal bill that had tabled its report in the upper house of parliament in November 2012 and the committee members had finalized the final draft of the bill with critical changes.

Meanwhile, the Congress has today said that the government is committed to pass the bill in the forthcoming budget session of the Parliament.
