Babulal Nagar suspended from Congress

New Delhi  : Former Rajasthan minister Babulal Nagar, who was accused of raping a woman, has been suspended from the Congress Party.

The decision was taken by the AICC after the state Congress declined to act against him despite public outrage and grave charges levelled against him.

Media reports suggest that Nagar had undergone medical tests, as part of the investigation into the case, after evading the probe for over one week.

Earlier, the Jaipur Police had lodged an First Information Report (FIR) against Nagar and ordered a probe.
