CBI closes Aarushi Talwar murder case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday said they are closing the Aarushi Talwar murder case since they could not found sufficient evidence to ?nail? the culprit despite two years of investigation.

The closure report of the unsolved case was filed at the Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) court by the CBI, citing lack of evidence for further investigation.

?The CBI has filed a closure report in the Aarushi Talwar murder case as it could not get sufficient evidence to nail anyone. The closure report is filed in Ghaziabad court,? said a CBI spokesperson.

The case was pending for more than two years now, and the CBI had changed the investigation team several times since then.

The new team was from Lucknow, which declared that crucial evidences were lost and tampered with.

Even the vaginal swab of Aarushi was not hers and the post-mortem report was also manipulated.

All the accused were let off after CBI admitted that they had no evidences against them.

However, Aarushi?s mother said she continue her fight for justice.

?We will not let it go. We will fight till the end,” Nupur Talwar, Aarushi’s mother said.

She said the Talwars will consult their legal counsel and come up with possible actions.

On May 17, 2008, 14-year-old Aarushi?s body was found in her bedroom of her Jal Vayu Vihar apartment in Noida. Her throat was slit. The very next day the family?s domestic help Hemraj too was killed. His body was found on the terrace of the building.

On May 23, Aarushi’s dentist father Rajesh Talwar was arrested.
