Chidambaram releases video on communal harmony

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday released a video highlighting the importance of peace, communal harmony and national integration in the contemporary context.

Titled ?Ray of Hope?, the video has been prepared by the National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) – an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

A group of school children also pinned NFCH flag on Chidambaram, marking the Flag Day.

The video highlights key messages of communal harmony, national integration, and unity in diversity.

The video was released on the occasion of Flag Day which is observed on the last day of Communal Harmony Campaign Week, the Qaumi Ekta Week (National Integration Week), which is celebrated every year during 19th to 25th Nov across the country.

Through the video, Faesal highlights the need for being resilient against odds in life and also believing in oneself in order to be successful in life.

The Governing Council of the Foundation reviews the broad policies of the Foundation and suggests measures for achieving its objectives.

It has 24 members, with the Union Home Minister as its Chairman.
