Cops get CCTV footage on bus used for gang-rape
New Delhi : CCTV footage from a toll plaza collected by investigators Monday showed that a bus in which a Delhi woman was gang-raped here had gone past the plaza in Gurgaon the night before, police said. One of the accused was identified.
The bus bearing a Delhi registration number crossed the toll plaza around 10 p.m., a police officer said.
While four people were detained, sketches of two of the accused were prepared with the help of the victim’s boyfriend. One of them was identified as Sonu, the officer said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chhaya Sharma said the toll plaza CCTV footage confirmed that the vehicle used in the crime was a white luxury or chartered bus and not a regular bus plying on public transport bus routes.
The accused could be the bus cleaner’s friends who were going towards Dwarka after dropping passengers somewhere in Delhi.
“A few of the accused were drunk,” Sharma said.
The bus staff were picking up passengers from Munirka to west Delhi and charging Rs.10 per commuter, she said.
The raped woman, 23, a para-medical degree holder, along with her 28-year-old boyfriend boarded the bus at Munirka around 9.15 p.m. Sunday to go to Dwarka, police said.
She was gang-raped and tortured in the moving vehicle by five to seven bus crew, police said.
She and her boyfriend were later thrown out of the bus near Mahipalpur flyover in south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar area.
The rape victim was Monday battling for life at hospital while her friend was discharged after initial treatment, police said.
If I am not wrong, then following are just my efforts to help a girl to avoid/fight a rape.
A girl can defend herself if she finds herself helpless in growing circumstances of a rape:-
step 1) Don’t get afraid/angry, just relax your mood and behave as if you have no problem in such a situation.
This would result in some loss of the rapist’s strength.
step2) Try to cooperate with the rapist and sway him near to the exit to flee if posssible, or try make it possible.
step3) Hit hard at his scrotum with your leg and then try to flee away.
Don’t stress your muscles or mind unnessarily, try to loose your body if he tries to get hold, this would again loose his strength.
Never ever loose your confidence to avoid such a situation as it’s better to fight bravely than to watch and live all the life cowardly. Just play with emotions.
If there are more than a rapist then try to use all these weapons on all.
Finally you just have to flee any how, you may try other measures too to flee.
