CPI-M will be uprooted from Bengal: Rahul Gandhi

Kolkata : Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday heavily criticized the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) led Left Front government in West Bengal and said that Communism will end in the state just like it has happened in other countries.

?Communism will end in Bengal too just like it has happened in other countries,? the Gandhi scion said addressing his maiden public rally from the iconic Sahid Minar ground here.

?CPI-M will be uprooted from Bengal. Within 4-5 months change will take place in the state?, he said.

Gandhi alleged that the Centre sends ?crores of money? to West Bengal, but the state Government do not use it for the development of the state, rather they are lapped up by the CPI-M cadres.

He further said in West Bengal, instead of poor people, names of CPI-M activists are included in the Below the Poverty Line (BPL) list.

Gandhi said there are ‘two India’ within India-one of the rich and the other belonging to the poor.

?Also, in West Bengal, there are two Bengal-one belong to the CPI-M and the other belong to the poor people,? he added.

He called the youths of West Bengal to join politics and asked them to work for the development of this state.

?Youths of this state should join politics…you all have to take the responsibility,? he said.

Moreover, Gandhi also mentioned Congress is re-establishing its position in Uttar Pradesh.

Other Congress leaders including, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Keshav Rao were also present at Gandhi?s rally.
