NREGA gets its new avatar as Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Prog

NREGA will get a new avatar with Mahatma Gandhi’s name being prefixed to it, PM Manmohan Singh announced on Friday about the step being taken apparently to prevent states ruled by opposition parties from claiming credit for four-year-old flagship programme of UPA.
