Rahul Gandhi arrives in flood-hit Uttarakhand

New Delhi/ Uttarakhand  : Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday arrived in Uttarakhand, days after floods wrought havoc in the mountainous state.

Earlier in the day, Rahul along with his mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi flagged off trucks carrying relief materials to calamity-hit Uttarakhand.

The relief material contained food packets, medicines, blankets and clothes. Meanwhile, home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde in New Delhi has informed that the death toll might reach 1000 or more.
