Vice Admiral Nirmal Verma takes over as Navy chief

Vice Admiral Nirmal Kumar Verma, who once commanded India’s sole aircraft carrier INS Viraat on Monday took over as the new Navy chief from incumbent Admiral Sureesh Mehta, who retires from service.
