Woman SP Kalpana Saxena assaulted by subordinates in UP
Bareilly, Sept 3 : A woman police officer was physically assaulted and dragged on the road for almost one kilometer by her subordinates in Bareilly town of Uttar Pradesh when she caught them red-handed while extorting money from truckers.
The incident happened late on Thursday evening when Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Kalpana Saxena arrived at a check-point in the town from where she had received complaint of extortion from truckers in the name of traffic checking.
?I rushed to the area along with the gunner and driver in a private car to catch them red handed. When I reached the area, I saw them extorting bribes from the constables. The constables recognised me and tried to flee and crush me under their police vehicle,? Saxena, who is now admitted in hospital with a fractured hand and injuries in head, said.
The guilt cops attacked Saxena and then tried to flee in their official vehicle. But the office caught hold of the neck of the driver of the vehicle and she was dragged for about one kilometer in full public view.
Saxena, 1990 batch officer of the state’s Provincial Police Service, was then thrown on the road by the cops, who fled the spot.
The three accused policemen have been placed under immediate suspension and a police case registered against them.
One of the accused has already been arrested and hunt is on to nab the others.
I am proud of my sister. She is a dedicated honest officer in the service the nation. From her childhood days, she has been a bold & a child who had always been ready to accept challenges. She was a lectrurer in a degree college in Meerut, but she always had a dream & ambition to be an IPS officer and serve the nation with her all sincerity,honesty, courage & dedication. This is not the first time , she has proven her dedication and sincerity to her duty, she has been in sensitive areas of U.P., like Dehradun,( now uttranchal) , Muzaffarnagar, saharanpur etc. And then in P.A.C, Meerut, too did exemplary work .
I am proud of my sister and wish her all the best to set examples for our younger generation to serve our nation with honesty and dedication.

I dont know she is honest,but its possible less than 1%.they
(constables) are products of their seniors every one know that,they are product of bribes,they distributes money bottom to top.

she is a brave and honest officer. A second Kiran Bedi of India.we all know about her honesty and sincerity . The guilties should be punished immediately with no less than termination of services, and the brave lady officer should be rewarded by President Medal foe her exemplary contribution to eradicate corruption
