Russian woman finds thief snoring under her bed

Moscow  :  An elderly woman in Russia was in for a shock when she heard a thief snoring under her bed.

The 82-year old woman in central Russia’s Tula region was surprised to find the thief peacefully snoring under her bed, an aide to the regional prosecutor said Monday.

Sergei Ivanov, 23, sneaked into the elderly woman’s house while she was sleeping.

The thief, who was drunk, decided to hide under the woman’s bed. But he fell asleep. Hearing him snoring and seeing his sneakers sticking from under the bed, the frightened woman called the police.

The man faces five years in prison on burglary charges.
