Obama being arrogant: Musharraf

Pakistan?s former president Pervez Musharraf said US President Barack Obama is being arrogant in saying that he would take same action as he did during Operation Geronimo where al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was slain.

Obama recently made a statement on a British television show that if he gets to know more al Qaeda terrorists are hiding in Pakistan, he would again ask the security forces to carry out similar raids.

?I think that this is putting the Pakistan leadership and the government on the dock and I think that it’s not a very responsible statement,? Musharraf told CNN in an interview.

He said it was irresponsible of Obama to make such a statement.

?No country has the right to intrude into any other country. If you see it technically or legally, it’s an act of war. Hence, I think that it’s a very irresponsible statement and I think such arrogance should not be shown,? he said.

Osama was killed in Pakistan by US Navy Seals late on May 2, ending an almost decade long manhunt for the world’s most sought after terrorist.

Responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, that killed about 3,000 people, Osama was hunted worldwide only to be found nearly ten years later in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad.
