44 races on Day 1 of rowing championship

Total 44 races in the heats category were held on the first day of the 14th sub Junior nationals and 15th Challengers Sprints here on Thursday.

The categories were Challenger Men – Single Sculls, Double Sculls, Pair & Coxed Fours, Sub Junior Boys- Single Sculls, Double Sculls, Pair & Coxed Fours, Sub Junior Girls- Single Sculls, Double Sculls, Pair & Coxed Fours.

Sixteen states and 350 participants are sweating out in the championship.

The championship is hosted by the West Bengal Rowing Association under the guidance of the Rowing Federation of India at Rabindra Sarobar in Kolkata.

The Championship includes the practice sessions will started from May 30 and will continue till Jun 5.
