Jackman backs South Africa over India WC clash

On this week?s ICC Cricket World Radio Show, commentator Robin Jackman has backed South Africa to beat India in the side?s Cricket World Cup 2011 clash on Saturday despite the Proteas’ loss to England.

?I thought South Africa bowled and fielded brilliantly against England but the bottom line is that England did the damage to the South Africa middle-order and it ultimately meant South Africa lost.

?I don?t think South Africa will be worried about the top and middle-order batsmen like Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis failing to fire in the game against England as they know they have the ability to do it.

?India and South Africa are two fantastic teams, and with the pitch being pretty flat in Nagpur I expect a lot of runs on the board and I think the team that bowls and fields the best will win it.

“On that score, I would probably think South Africa are the more athletic and better fielding side and marginally the better bowling side, so I think they?re the likely winners. I think it?s going to be a humdinger,? said Jackman of the Proteas next fixture.

Joining him on this week?s show, New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Mills talks about the side?s recent victory over Pakistan and how former South Africa bowler Allan Donald is helping the New Zealand bowlers in the event.

?I missed the last ICC Cricket World Cup due to injury and I didn?t get to play in our first two games here this year, so it was great to play against Pakistan and pick up a few wickets.

?Tim Southee and I are both big fellas and when we come up against the teams from the sub-continent who tend to be smaller builds we use our height as an intimidating factor and Allan Donald?s played a lot of cricket on the sub-continent, he?s world class, from a tactical perspective he?s been great.

?I hope I can take some more wickets against Canada and then again when we play our last game of the pool against Sri Lanka,? says Mills.
