Drunk Goa Police driver suspended for accident

Panaji  : A police driver was suspended Wednesday for driving his jeep under the influence of alcohol and crashing it into a compound wall.

A police spokesperson said Shripad Keni crashed a police jeep on New Year’s eve. He was drunk when the accident happened after a year-end party.

“An alcometer test found a high level of alcohol in Keni,” the spokesperson said. No one was injured in the accident. The driver has been suspended from service.
