Karnataka minister Katta Subramanya Naidu resigns after FIR on land scam

Bangalore : Karnataka’s tainted IT and BT Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu has resigned over a land scam on Friday.

Reports said Chief Minister C M Yeddyurappa accepted his resignation and forwarded it to the Governor.

The CM told reporters that the minister resigned to allow a fair trial.

The Lok Ayukta had earlier filed an FIR against the IT-BT minister.

Naidu and his kin are accused of taking crores of rupees as bribes in allotment of land to business groups when the former was industry minister.
