Lightning strike kills 3 in Maharashtra
Thane : Three people were killed when lightning struck them in Maharashtra’s Thane district Monday evening, police said.
The incident occurred at Nimbavli village near Bhivandi town when the youngsters took shelter under trees during rain.
Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and several parts of the state in the evening.
In Mumbai, commuters were hit and evening peak hour traffic was disrupted as sudden downpour lashed the city for nearly two hours.
