18-year-old girl raped in Hyderabad

An 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped at Narayanaguda area of Hyderabad, police said on Monday.

According to the police, the teenager was attending service at the Baptist Church in Narayanaguda.

?She told her mother to wait for her inside the church and went out. On her way, she was picked up in a car and was allegedly raped,? said a senior police official.

?Later she was found lying on the roadside near the church. She was bleeding,? the officer said.

?A criminal case has been registered. The girl is undergoing treatment at Government Maternity Hospital in Petlaburg,? he said.

The girl and her mother live at an old-age home in Ram Nagar.
