Boy dies after falling into water-filled pit in Kolkata

Kolkata :  Police said on Tuesday that a seven-year-old boy died after falling into a water-filled pit at a construction site here.

“It seems the child had gone to retrieve a ball that had fallen in the water that had accumulated in a pit at Collins Street where a building is being constructed,” said an official of Park Street police station.

An official said that the police are investigating.
