Crisis in Andhra Pradesh after two ministers quit
Hyderabad : The newly formed Congress government in Andhra Pradesh led by Kiran Kumar Reddy plunged into a crisis after two ministers served quit notice midnight Wednesday, only hours after a 39-member cabinet was formed.
The two ministers –Vatti Vasantha Kumar and Komatireddi Venkat Reddy– voicing unhappiness over portfolio allocation, sent in their resignation letters separately to their new CM, who also held the office for the first time on Wednesday morning following the swearing in ceremony at Raj Bhavan.
The CM called an emergency meeting on Thursday to sort out the problem face to face with the discontent ministers as their letters of resignation had not been accepted so far, media reports said.
