Filmaker Shekhar Kapoor: Planning to take his movie overseas

Panaji: The director of films like “Masoom”, “Bandit Queen” and “Elizabeth” is going to take his next  movie to somewhere else. Shekhar Kapoor films are always rated as the best and most of them are award-winning films.

The name of his next movie is “Paani” a reality. The deals with water scarcity, in which  Sushant Singh Rajput and Ayesha Kapoor are in lead roles. This film has been  shelved many times due to several reasons.

“I tried to make it in India but turns out that it is not possible. So, I have decided to take it somewhere else,” Kapur said on the sidelines of Film Bazaar. But it seems Kapur has made up his mind and will be turning to international producers to make the film.

The music of “Paani” is being given by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman.

Kapur shared the update about his film project after a session named “VR technology and new film narrative” at the annual film gala, which is held alongside International Film Festival of India
