KKR beat Delhi Daredevils by 17 runs

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) returned to winning streak as they beat Delhi Daredevils by 17 runs at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium here on Thursday night.

Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 148 for seven wickets.

Manoj Tiwary played a gutsy innings of 61 runs from 47 deliveries. He hit two boundaries and three over boundaries in the innings.

Bengal wicket-keeper Shreevats Goswami (22) opened the batting with KKR star Jacques Kallis (11) in this crucial away match.

Down the order, RN ten Doeschate played a handy innings of 18 runs from just 12 balls. He hit two boundaries and a huge sixer in the innings that helped the KKR side to the competitive score 148 runs from seven wicket.

Chasing the target of 149 runs, the Delhi Daredevils innings ended at 131 runs for the loss of nine wickets.

Delhi slipper V. Sehwag remained the highest scorer in the match with his 34 runs innings before loosing his wicket to the KKR left arm pacer Unadkat.

He hit five boundaries and a huge sixer in the match.

James Hopes remained the second top scorer if the innings with 25 runs.
