Left accuses Mamata of using Railway to promote TMC

Railway minister Mamata Banerjee is being accused of using the ministry to promote her Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal ahead of state Assembly elections.

The ruling Left parties have pointed that an advertisement carried in West Bengal newspapers and issued by the Railway ministry uses a phrase coined by Banerjee at a party rally, reports said on Wednesday.

The tag line coined by Banerjee, ?Agriculture is our inspiration, industry is our perception?, at a TMC rally earlier this week is being used in this particular advertisement.

The Left has raised objection to it, claiming that it tantamount to using the ministry to promote the minister?s party.

The TMC has, however, refuted the charge and termed it a ?coincidence?.
