Nagpur Test: India dictate day 2

If it were Indian bowlers who dominated the proceedings Saturday, the batsmen followed it on Monday as they took a good lead by 99 runs over New Zealand in the first innings.

India have finished day two of the third Test match at 292 for the loss of 2 wickets in response to the Kiwi total of 193 in their first innings.

India got off to a flying start with both Indian openers Gambhir (78) and Sehwag (74) performing handsomely with their bats.

Gambhir got out to Southee, while Sehwag was dismissed by New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori.

Rahul Dravid batting at 69 and Tendulkar on 57 will start the proceedings on Monday morning.

The New Zealand bowlers failed to dominate over the Indian batsmen as none of them could restrict the flow of runs.

Earlier, the remaining of the New Zealand batsmen were dismissed at 193 runs.

New Zealand had scored 148 for the loss of 7 wickets at the end of day 1.
