New Zealand defeated Kenya by 10 wickets

Chennai : In a pretty one sided match New Zealand defeated Kenya by 10 wickets in the second match of World Cup 2011.

Chasing the Kenyan total of 70 runs for victory, the Kiwi openers, Martin Guptill (39*) and Brendon McCullum (26*) never looked uncomfortable as they clinched the game in just 8 overs.

New Zealand sailed to 72 runs in just 8 overs giving their side the much needed start to the tournament.

Batting first, the Kenyan batsmen looked completely uncomfortable as all of them failed to tackle the Kiwi bowlers who dominated the game all through.

Kenyans were bowled out at 69 in just 23.5 overs.

Hamish Bennett remained the pick of Kiwi bowlers as he scalped 4 wickets and Southee and Oram shared 3 wickets each.
