ODI called off, India win series

Margao : Wet outfield caused the abandonment of the third and final One-day International (ODI) between India and Australia here in Goa but with the calling-off of the match, India won the three match series against Australia 1-0.

The wet outfield earlier delayed the play but later match referee Chris Broad after an inspection of the ground at 12.15 pm decided to call off the play at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

India had won the second ODI at Visakhapatnam on Oct 20.

The first ODI in Kochi was also washed out owing to rains on Oct 15.
