Patna Police to issue warrant against Hasan Ali

A local court on Tuesday asked Patna Police to issue warrant against India?s alleged biggest tax evader Hasan Ali Khan and produce him before it by April 30.

Chief Judicial Magistrate S P Singh asked the city police to produce Ali in connection to a fake Patna address on his passport.

Superintendent of Police Shivdip Lande said they have seized documents from Regional Passport Office (RPO) here which say Ali used Pathantoli locality in Alamganj area in Patna as his address and Belsand village in Sitamarhi district as the permanent address while applying for his passport.

The 53-year-old Pune businessman was arrested on Mar 7 and is presently lodged at Arthur Road jail in Mumbai. Ali’s judicial custody has been extended till April 26.

He reportedly evaded tax worth Rs 70,000 crore.
