Rohit Sharma is not in Indian World cup squad; Fans shocked

Many cricket fans are shocked after watching Indian Squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. BCCI Selectors selected Piyush Chawla instead of all rounder Rohit Sharma in World Cup Team.

Rohit Sharma has played 54 ODI matches with 28.87 batting average and he has taken 3 wickets while Piyush Chawla just played 21 matches and took 28 wickets.

Rohit Sharma is recently playing very well and he was also in recent two ODI series.

Even Cricket team can use Rohit Sharma as bowler and as well as Wicket-keeper if in case, Mahendra Singh Dhoni injure in World Cup.

Most important point is Rohit Sharma has played recently in One-Day International but Piyush Chawla played his last ODI before 2 years in 2nd July 2008. If Selectors wants to have Piyush Chawla in squad then they should make him played recently ODI series.

It seems Piyush Chawla Jumped to World Cup directly because of inconsistent performance of Rohit Sharma in last few matches but we should not forget that he played very well in Ranji Trophy and T20 matches.
