Sourav Ganguly to play for Pune Warriors today

Fans of Indian cricket icon Sourav Ganguly will see him back in action at Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday as his team Pune Warriors will face Deccan Chargers in Hyderabad.

Although Pune had a pathetic IPL season 4 so far as they have won only three matches from the ten games they have played and are positioned in the eighth place in the points table.

The Pune outfit will try to add some more points to their tally by winning Tuesday’s match although their hopes for qualifying into the next round look quite dismal.

In the other match of the day, actor Preity Zinta’s Kings XI Punjab will take on the mighty Mumbai Indians at Mohali.

Given the form of Mumbai Indians and the way they have been performing till now, Sachin Tendulkar and his men are considered to be the favourites in the match.

Kings XI Punjab are currently at the bottom of the points table with 6 points from 9 matches.

Adam Gilchrist and his men will desperately try to win the match on Tuesday and bring some motivation for the rest of the league.

The key players for Mumbai Indians will be SachinTendulkar, Pollard and Malinga, Andrew Symonds and Harbhajan Singh, while the Punjab outfit will depend a lot on Adam Gilchrist and Paul Valthaty.
