South Africa put India to bat

Centurion : South African captain Graeme Smith won the toss and asked India to bat in the first Test match at the Super Sport Park here on Thursday.

India have left out injured pace spearhead Zaheer Khan and left-arm fast bowler Jaidev Unadkat will be making his debut replacing Zaheer Khan in the Indian team while South Africa have included medium pacer Lonwabo Tsotsobe in their side.
